Tasks
AuraCRM keeps two kinds of action item apart, because they belong to two different people:
- Professional tasks — things you need to do (send a document, book a room, prepare an agenda).
- Client homework — things the client agreed to do before the next session.
Where tasks come from
- From a session. When you approve an AI proposal, the extracted tasks and homework are created against the client.
- By hand. You can add a task or piece of homework directly on a client at any time.
Tracking them
- Tasks have a clear status you move through as work gets done.
- Client homework you assign appears in that client's portal once you publish it.
- When a client checks off a homework item in their portal, the matching task is marked done on your side and the change is written to the client's audit history — so both views stay in step.
Why the split matters
Mixing your own to-dos with what a client owes you is how follow-through slips. Keeping them separate means your task list is genuinely your work, and the client's portal shows them exactly what is theirs.
